  • Tastely Experience Examples

Your Ultimate Craft Tasting Experience Tastely’s #1 goal is to drive traffic into your establishment so you can increase business and share what makes you special. Question - how do you do that without adding to your already busy schedule? We’ve got you covered by putting together some ideas showing how you can host an incredible branding experience based on activations you are already doing within your establishment. IDEA 1 Tasting the Beers Put together a sample of the food/beverage that showcases the best you have to offer - walk the customers through one bite/sip at a time. At the end, provide them with a full beverage/serving of one of the offerings. Approximate Length - 15 to 20 minutes Suggested Cost Range - $15 - $35 (depending on portion size, food/beverage cost to you, etc.) IDEA 2 Tasting & Activity This could incorporate the tasting aspect from Idea #1, with the added feature of games or other activities you are already hosting in your venue. Do you have board games, video games, darts, corn-hole, bowling, offer tours of the facility, etc. Approximate Length - 15 to 20 minutes (plus the time the activity takes) Suggested Cost Range - $15 - $25+ (depending on whether there is a cost usually associated with the activity.) IDEA 3 Next Level Tasting & Pairing If you have both food and beverage options, perhaps you can put together a set menu that would pair a variety of your beverage options with your food options. This could be as simple as a sample beverage and small sharing plate/appetizer, or it could be several sample beverages - each with a well paired food that compliments the flavour profiles of both. Approximate Length - 15 to 25 minutes+ (depending on how many ‘courses’ you offer) Suggested Cost Range - $25 to $80+ (again, depending on the complexity of your offering) IDEA 4 A Maker's Class This would be a more immersive experience that would allow customers to be ‘hands-on’. The mechanics of this type of experience would range depending on how you activate - but could include a demonstration of how you ‘create’ the food / beverage you do, the chance for the people in the class to take part (pull, cut, smoosh, etc.), or could even be a chance to take things from start to finish through guided instruction. Approximate Length - 30 to 60 minutes+ (depending on what you plan) Suggested Cost Range - $50 to $90+ (again, depending on the complexity of your offering) IDEA 5 Events Many businesses host a variety of scheduled events. These are also a great way to showcase your amazing business in new and exciting ways. Tastely provides the ability to host and promote events within your establishment. Some examples include live music nights, comedians, board game tournaments, pairing dinners, movies, Oscar showings, and so much more. Whether you are already activating events like this, or have always wanted to, Tastely is here to help. Approximate Length - Varied Suggested Cost Range - Would depend on whether price was solely for entrance or included food / beverage or other add-ons. Please note, the suggested cost and times are just that - suggestions. You know your business better than anyone - so please decide what works best for you. • How to Host a memorable Tastely Experience

Think of each Tastely experience as a job interview or a first date - you want to be prepared and you want to bring your 'A' game! Just like every AirBnB location is unique yet meets a standard of quality - the same goes for Tastely experiences. Your business is unique - and you'll want to highlight all the amazing things about it - but the quality of the experience needs to be consistent. Below are our guidelines and responsibilities we require vendors to follow. Please ensure that anyone hosting a Tastely experience is knowledgeable about your business and has reviewed the 'How to Host A Tastely Experience' document and video prior to guest arrival. What is your establishment responsible for providing? For each Tastely experience, your team will provide: A reserved table for the number of guests that have booked the experience with a “Reserved for a Tastely Experience” sign displayed on the table (signs and other tools are available at Sample of whatever food or beverage your business is showcasing. Tastely Experience Standards - Each experience should be a minimum of 20 minutes. Your ambassador should be engaging and welcoming. They should smile, introduce themselves, and greet guests by name when possible. They are on stage and representing your brand - a great Ambassador presentation can create a ‘customers-for-life’ experience! Preparation is key - please use the below guidelines for your presentations and write them out. Details you can include in your presentation (but feel free to add others): History of the Business - When was it founded, who founded it, how did it get its name, funny things that have happened, unique things that make it special, how they decided on their logo, who owns it now if different from founders, etc. List of Your Food / Beverage Line Up - How you choose what food or beverage to make / serve, how you decide on the names, how you create the packaging, any unique stories about how the food or beverage came to be, etc. Detail is key! For the Tasting - You should be able to share the flavour notes to look for in each sample, what foods or beverage pairs well with it, where you source your ingredients, anything special you do during the creation process, how you decide on your seasonals, etc. Future Plans - Anything interesting you have coming up, where your products are available, where you see the business in the future etc. If guests have selected a Tasting Experience + Tour, your team will also provide a full Tastely Experience as detailed above, as well as: A guided tour of your facility where the products are produced. Why you chose to open where you did. Where did you source your equipment. How long did it take to build. Any interesting challenges or stories from the building process. Anything unique about your set-up that impacts what you make. How long it takes to make different products. Details about the creation process. Collaborations you have done and how different processes can impact the taste. How you have grown and how you plan to grow in the future. Each venue is unique so the tours will vary – the timeline for the tour will be based on your guide’s discretion! Ready to sign up? Be sure to visit to get onto the Tastely network. Looking forward to seeing you there!

  • The Tastely Payment Structure for Businesses

Businesses For business, Tastely costs $20/month to be on the platform. In addition to that there is a $1.50 charge per booking per person (See math below) and a nominal processing fee from Stripe (1%). For Tastely, the monthly fee keeps the lights on but we are only successful if we drive people to your location. We want our success metrics to be aligned with yours. Guests Guests only pay for the price you set for the Experience. Please remember there is a $1.50 Tastely booking fee per person - please build this into your price so you can offer an all-in price. Revenue to the business: Per booking: Fee for the tasting minus $1.50 Tastely fee & 1% Stripe credit card fee Per payout: booking payouts - $0.30 Stripe transfer fee/month. For example… If you created a tasting experience for $50 per person and 4 people booked it, at the end of the month we pay you: 50 X 4 people = $200 - Booking fees (4 X $1.50) $6 - Service fees (1%) $2 + $0.30 -------------------------- Your total payout = $191.70 Additional features and associated marketing costs: Affiliate Fees - We work with local hotels, tourist organizations, & influencers to increase directly booked experiences. In exchange, vendors pay an affiliate fee to these partners. Promo Codes - As an incentive to get new customers to sign up for Tastely experiences, we may offer up to a 10% discount which would be taken off the price vendors set in their profile. A Few Other Details: Payments are issued to Tastely Members monthly for completed Tastely Experiences. Payments will be transferred to you at the end of each month. Members are responsible for proactively notifying guests of any changes or cancellations. If your guest requests a refund before the day of activity, please direct them to
